Meet your Local Heroes
Every day, every week, 365 days a year there's a team of people working. Going about their business and getting on with their jobs, so quiet in fact, you might not even notice them; but they're there all the same. Toiling tirelessly in all weathers, these everyday men and women work around the clock keeping the county clean.
So who are they? Clean Kent's Local Heroes, that's who!
As a celebration of these 'heroes', Clean Kent is highlighting the efforts of the people working behind the scenes.
Clean Kent Co-ordinator, Melanie Price says: The Local Heroes campaign embodies the philosophy of the Clean
Kent as it's about having the pride, commitment and drive to keep our county clean and beautiful. Every day there
are many people who make valuable and positive contributions to their local communities and who deserve, quite rightly,
to be recognised for their considerable efforts.
So the next time you walk through your street, spare a thought for the unseen cleaning teams. Is there a 'hero' in your road,
high street or neighbourhood? Look closely, because Clean Kent believes there is.
